The following are five easy steps to cook restaurant-style Hyderabadi biryani with the Kohinoor biryani kit within half an hour:
Get done with your pre-preparations before heading to the main step:
Add 1 litre of water, the whole spices you received in the biryani kit, one tablespoon of salt, and one tablespoon of oil to the pan and boil them. Next, add the given basmati rice to the boiling water and let it boil for 7-8 minutes at low flame until it is 80% cooked. Once boiled, drain the water from the cooked rice and keep the rice aside.
You might struggle to remove whole spices from the cooked rice. It is advisable to tie up all the spices in a muslin cloth and then add these tied spices to the rice for easy removal.
Take another pan and add two to three tablespoons of oil, vegetables, and chicken pieces to it. Saute them for a few minutes at medium to low flame. Next, add the given Hyderabadi biryani paste to the mixture and saute it for a few minutes. Lastly, you need to add 150 ml water to cook the entire mixture till you see it tendering down and the oil separating.
Layer half the quantity of the biryani gravy you prepared, then half the quantity of the cooked basmati rice, and garnish it using fried onion, coriander and mint leaves. Repeat this layering with the remaining quantity of biryani gravy and cooked rice. Cover the pot and cook on dum, i.e., low heat for eight to ten minutes until your rice is 100% cooked.
Wisk 300 grams to 500 grams of curd and add the raita seasoning. Give it a good mix, and let it chill in your refrigerator.
